"The Road"

There is a road I must travel
And I can't see 'round the bend
I don't know if there is more road up ahead
Or it is where the road comes to an end

All I know for sure is I must go

Should I run
Should I walk

Turning around is not
An option

I will journey on
One step at a time
       One step at a time

This road has an incline
Though steep
I will climb
One step at a time
       One step at a time

I am not a fan of heights
Nor traveling on my own at night
I prefer the bright sunlight
But
This feels right
This feels right
Thus
I must  fight to make my way
For I cannot stay where I am
No I will not stay

Muscles ache
Muscles tight
I walk by faith and not by sight
One step at a time
       One step at a time

There is a road I must travel
And I can't see 'round the bend
I don't know if there is more road up ahead
Or it is where the road comes to an end

No I can't stand still
No I won't stand still

"Guide me, O Thou great *Jehovah, [*Redeemer] Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy pow’rful hand.
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more."

One step at a time
        One step at a time
                One step at a time
